Baidu Boosts Business AI with ‘MuseSteamer’ and Smarter Search
Chinese tech giant Baidu has unveiled a new AI-powered video generator and significant upgrades to its search engine, targeting business users with advanced functionalities. According to a Reuters report, the newly introduced image-to-video model, named MuseSteamer, can generate videos up to 10 seconds in length and is offered in three versions—Turbo, Pro, and Lite.
As part of a broader transformation of Baidu’s core services, the company has integrated enhanced capabilities into its search engine, allowing users to make queries using long-form text, voice, and images. AI is also being employed to deliver more precise and relevant content results.
Unlike competitors such as OpenAI's Sora, which provide subscription-based video generation tools for general consumers, Baidu’s MuseSteamer is currently available exclusively to enterprise clients.
The move comes as Baidu faces increasing pressure from domestic rivals ByteDance, Tencent, and Alibaba, who have also launched their own AI models within China’s rapidly evolving artificial intelligence landscape.
