Pixel 8 comes with Gemini AI
Google recently launched the Gemini Nano AI model on the Pixel 8 and 8A after the teaser was released in March. A feature update rolled out for the Pixel this month will allow developers to use AI models. News Tec Times.
The new update brings display port connectivity for Pixel devices, reverse phone number search feature, fall and crash detection on Pixel Watch Two and doorbell notification on tablets.
Google's Gemini Nano in the Recorder app will offer advanced transcription summaries to users. However, according to TechCrunch, Google has not revealed any details about the AI model so far.
On the other hand, Pixel Drop's display connection feature via USB-C will facilitate users to use larger displays. Besides, through the reverse phone number lookup feature, unknown numbers can be known. For this purpose, Google may use the user's caller ID database.
As part of the new update, even if a device is turned off, Google's Find My Device will work and identify the device.
