Meta and Amazon denied the allegations of eavesdropping

A Meta spokesperson said CMG was only a general partner of Meta and was not involved in any specific advertising program. They said they don't use the phone's microphone for advertising.
E-commerce giant Amazon also said it has never worked with CMG for advertising and has no plans to do so in the future.
