18,000 Nagad accounts reactivated
After several rounds of scrutiny and cross-check, all the 'Nagad' accounts, which were automatically held as a result of inconsistent transactions, were reactivated on Wednesday, except for 8 accounts which were involved in defective refunds.
The information was given ‘Nagad’ in a press release sent to the media on Wednesday.
According to the company, the extensive collateral verification has made it possible to easily identify the accounts involved in the conspiracy as well as secure the money of 18,000 customers.
All the 'Nagad' customers who have already re-activated are going to enjoy all the great services of 'Nagad' including easy transactions. Not a single customer's money was lost from the status held accounts.
Earlier, 'Nagad' had announced that all the accounts of the rest of the general customers would be reactivated by September 23 after identifying the accounts involved in the conspiracy. One day before that deadline, the issue of 'Nagad' has been resolved in the interest of the customer.
Tanvir A Mishuk, managing director of Nagad, said, "I want to reassure everyone that the interests of its customers are paramount to Nagad." All the 'Nagad' accounts including refunds to the customers of Sirajganj Shop have been reactivated step by step to ensure complete security of the money of each of the customers who have already held the status. As promised, we have taken this step to alleviate the suffering of the esteemed customers of 'Nagad'. And the name of this trust is 'Nagad'.”
Tanvir A Mishuk also announced a gift for each of the 18,000 reactivated customers to stand by the aggrieved customers, which has already reached each of their 'Nagad' accounts.
