UFTB Begins Bus Service for Students for the First Time
For the first time, the University of Frontier Technology, Bangladesh (UFTB) has launched a bus service for its students during regular academic days. The university administration initiated the service considering the convenience and safe commute of its students. The service will officially begin on Tuesday, November 4.
On Monday, November 3, the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Mohammad Abu Yusuf, inaugurated the service on a trial basis in the afternoon. Present at the inaugural event were Treasurer Professor Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain, Registrar Muhammad Ataur Rahman Khan, Acting Proctor and Head of the Department of Cyber Security Engineering Rakib Hossain, Provost of the temporary male dormitory Rubel Sheikh, Provost of the temporary female dormitory Delwara Khushi, and students from various departments.
According to university sources, the bus will start from the university’s administrative building and reach Tongi College Gate. From there, it will depart at 6:45 a.m., following the route through Gazipura, Board Bazar, Bhogra Bypass, Safipur, and Chandra, before arriving at the university campus. In the evening, the bus will leave the campus at 5:15 p.m. and return to Tongi College Gate via the same route, later heading back to the campus after completing the journey.
The university authority also informed that the bus service will remain suspended on government and university-declared holidays.
