CUET Officers’ Association Elects New Executive Committee
The election for the 2025-2026 Executive Committee of the Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) Officers’ Association was successfully conducted in a festive atmosphere. The voting process took place on Wednesday at CUET’s central auditorium and was officially inaugurated by CUET Vice-Chancellor and Chief Patron of the Officers’ Association, Professor Dr. Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan.
In the election, Engineer Syed Mohammad Ikram was elected as President, while Engineer Md. Mokbul Hossain was elected as General Secretary.
Other elected members of the committee include Engineer Syed Md. Zillur Rahman as Vice President, Mohammad Jamal Uddin Chowdhury as Joint General Secretary, Md. Mirajul Islam as Organizational Secretary, and Engineer Md. Naimur Rahman as Treasurer. Md. Yasir Arafat was elected as the Secretary for Sports, Literature, and Cultural Affairs, Mohammad Nur Newaz as Office Secretary, Mohammad Zia Uddin Zia as Secretary for Information, Publicity, and Publications, and Sabiha Sultana Jimu as Women Affairs Secretary.
The elected Executive Members are Mohammad Abdul Khaleq Sarkar, Mohammad Yousuf, Mohammad Sawkat Hayat Osmani, Mohammad Harun, and Md. Anisuzzaman Khan.
The election was overseen by Chief Election Commissioner and Comptroller Md. Shafiqul Islam. The Election Commissioners were Deputy Registrar Mrs. Nazneen Akhter, Assistant Election Commissioner and Assistant Registrar (Coordination) Muhammad Rashedul Islam, Sub-Divisional Engineer Sagar Talukdar, and Programmer Md. Nur Uddin Chowdhury.
