WhatsApp has been working on the message reaction feature for several months now. The feature is also one of the demands of the time. It allows users to express their feelings (reactions) in a post or comment on the Facebook app, just as it can express feelings about a message on WhatsApp.
Earlier, WhatsApp had no plans to send notifications to users about message reactions. However, later in the beta version of the iOS app, WhatsApp started developing message reaction notifications. This time the same feature is also being brought in the Android version.
Sources said that the feature will be unveiled in a future update. So, it may not be available in the settings menu of the latest beta version right now. WhatsApp did not say when it would be released.
