Dhaka Bank Debuts Co-branded Mastercard for BUET Graduates
Dhaka Bank has launched a co-branded World Mastercard credit card exclusively for members of the BUET Graduates Club, offering lifetime exemption from annual and issuance fees. Cardholders will enjoy free access to the Balaka Executive Lounge at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, as well as entry to over 1,600 airport lounges across 120 countries, alongside complimentary pick-and-drop and meet-and-greet services.
According to a press release issued by Dhaka Bank, the card also provides a 12% cashback at the BUET Graduates Club Limited restaurant and a "Buy One Get One Free" offer at five-star hotels. For shopping enthusiasts, the card offers attractive discounts and promotions at over 9,000 Mastercard partner merchants.
The launch event was attended by Sheikh Mohammad Maroof, Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dhaka Bank; Syed Mohammad Kamal, Country Manager of Mastercard Bangladesh; and Khaled Hossain Mahbub, President of the BUET Graduates Club, along with senior executives from all three partnering institutions.

The press release further mentioned that the new World Mastercard credit card is designed to enhance users’ lifestyle, travel, and financial experiences. Cardholders will be eligible for Dhaka Bank’s Quintuple Credit Shield Program, which ensures financial security and flexibility with up to BDT 4 million in insurance coverage and extended EMI benefits of up to two years for major purchases. Additionally, Mastercard-branded cardholders can apply for up to three supplementary cards without any issuance or annual fees.
