YouTube Shorts bringing custom voiceover like TikTok
In order to compete with the fast-growing TikTok, in 2020, YouTube came up with a similar service called Shorts. 60 seconds of video with some basic filters, captions, color correction, the app is given the opportunity to edit the video. This time YouTube is bringing another feature of ByteDance network to their platform.
With the new feature, users of shorts will be able to change the voiceover without any third party video editing app. This feature is already available in TikTok.
XDA-developers have seen code for a new feature in the beta version of YouTube Shorts. The idea is that YouTube is going to add a separate button that will allow users to easily record and place the video before uploading it.
So far no official information about the feature has been released by YouTube. As a result, it is still unknown exactly when the new feature will be launched.
