US software giant Adobe has acquired Indian market research and marketing technology startup ‘Relo’. Under the deal, Adobe has acquired the startup’s intellectual property (IP) licensing rights as well as its entire team.

This is Adobe’s second acquisition in India, following its purchase of video platform Rephrase.ai in 2023. However, neither company has officially disclosed the financial terms of the deal.

Technology and Scope of Work

Relo had been developing technology to automate complex marketing processes using artificial intelligence. The technology enables companies to create, manage, and track AI-powered campaigns while maintaining their brand visibility across generative AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude.

As part of the acquisition, Relo’s six-member technical team will join Adobe’s core team. At the same time, Relo’s standalone operations will be completely discontinued, meaning its existing users will no longer be able to access the tool directly.

Relo’s Rise and Funding

Relo was founded in 2025 by two classmates from India’s prestigious IIT, Georgy Bobby and Dhruv Jaglan. Shortly after its launch, the company raised $1 million in funding at a valuation of $10 million from leading venture capital funds including Peak XV, DEVC, and Day Zero Ventures.

Since its launch, more than 10,000 users have used Relo’s workflow-related tools.

Market Competition and Strategic Impact

In recent times, technology giants such as Canva, Google, Meta, and Amazon have been strengthening their own AI-powered marketing systems. In response, Adobe has been taking a series of major steps to strengthen its marketing ecosystem, including the acquisition of search engine optimization platform Semrush for $1.9 billion last year.

According to analysts, Relo’s innovative AI workflows could play a significant role in helping Adobe’s enterprise customers create digital experiences and manage marketing activities.
