Bangladesh national football team captain Jamal Bhuiyan has officially joined Nagad as the brand ambassador of the mobile financial service provider.
A signing ceremony was held at Hotel Sheraton in Dhaka, where Jamal Bhuiyan signed the agreement in the presence of Nagad Administrator Md. Motassim Billah. Under the six-month agreement, he will participate in Nagad’s promotional campaigns and initiatives aimed at strengthening customer engagement.
Nagad said the partnership will focus on increasing awareness of digital financial inclusion among young people and sports enthusiasts across the country and encouraging greater participation in digital financial services.
Expressing his enthusiasm after becoming the brand ambassador, Jamal Bhuiyan said he had previously worked with Nagad and enjoyed the experience. He said he was pleased and honoured to formally sign with the organisation as its brand ambassador.
Referring to Nagad’s previous World Cup campaign, he described it as an impressive initiative and said he appreciated the organisation’s efforts to do positive things for the country.
Jamal Bhuiyan also said Nagad has been advancing digital transactions in Bangladesh through continuous innovation and customer-friendly services. He noted that the company’s campaigns and reward initiatives have helped it reach a wider customer base.
Welcoming the national team captain to the Nagad family, Nagad Administrator Md. Motassim Billah said the organisation was pleased to have Jamal Bhuiyan on board.
He said Nagad had been working to build stronger relationships with Bangladeshi footballers and that the organisation plans to involve more star athletes with the Nagad family in the future. Nagad will continue to support sports and athletes at different levels across Bangladesh, he added.
Nagad Senior Associate Administrator Syed Heem-E-Iayun Uddin Ahmed, Associate Administrator Anwar Ullah, Chief Commercial Officer Shaheen Sarwar Bhuiyan, Chief Financial Officer Afzal Ahmed and Head of Marketing H U M Mehedi Sazzad, among other senior officials, attended the ceremony.
