LG has unveiled an artificial intelligence–powered humanoid robot named ‘Cloi’ at CES 2026, aiming to make household chores more automated and convenient. According to the company, the robot is capable of assisting with everyday tasks such as folding laundry, unloading dishwashers, and serving food. Engadget reported the development.

The report says the robot features a display, speaker, camera, and multiple sensors integrated into its head. These enable Cloi to communicate with humans, express emotions through facial-like gestures, and learn about users’ living environments and habits. Based on the information it gathers, the robot can also control connected smart home appliances.

Cloi is equipped with two mechanical arms, each designed with shoulder, elbow, and wrist joints, along with fingered hands. Mounted on wheels, the robot can grasp objects positioned at knee height or above, though it is unable to pick up items from the floor.

LG said that during the exhibition, Cloi will be demonstrated performing tasks such as initiating laundry cycles, folding washed clothes, and assisting with kitchen-related activities. However, the company clarified that the robot is not a commercial product at this stage and is being presented as a concept for future development of practical household robots.
