TSMC will start production of 3 nanometer chips
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) will produce 3 nanometer chips by the end of this year. This is a good news for Apple's next generation processors. News TechRader.
According to the report, TSMC has set a target of producing 30-35 thousand wafers through 3 nanometer process technology. Apple can market their iPad using this chip, according to WCCFtech sources. However, no information has been found yet about the model of iPad.
Apple could market M3 and A16 chips in 2023 for iPhone, iPad and Mac. These chips will be more efficient and consume less battery.
The idea is that the 3 nanometer chip will have four dyes. Up to 40 cores can be used. The M1 chip, on the other hand, has 8 cores, the M1 Pro and the M1 Max have more than 10 cores.
