Smart Bangladesh Tech Expo 2024 starts from February 5 in Rajshahi
Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS), Rajshahi Branch is going to inaugurate the newly built Bipani Bitan Swapnachura Plaza, a luxurious mall equipped with modern facilities. At the same time, the BCS is going to arrange the grand exhibition of information technology products 'Smart Bangladesh Tech Expo 2024 in Rajshahi for the first time on February 15-19. 70 IT Firms are participating in the exhibition organized under the slogan 'Youth and technology/ The power of smart Rajshahi/ The youth will build smart Bangladesh'.

BCS Rajshahi Branch Chairman and Exhibition Convener AF Kashemi Sohail read out the written statement in the press conference. BCS Rajshahi City Corporation Public Relations Officer Mostafiz Mishu, Branch Vice Chairman Md. Sajjad Hossain, Joint Secretary Md. Khairul Islam, Treasurer S.M. Musfiq-us-Salehin and member of the executive committee Md. Nazrul Islam and representatives of platinum sponsor organizations were present.
It was informed in the press conference that 'Swapnachura Plaza' located in Kadirganj under the management of Rajshahi City Corporation will provide convenience of shopping as well as guarantee of buying the right products in the market with modern facilities. The 3rd and 4th floors of 'Swapnachura Plaza' will have a technology display and marketing center. This trade center for information technology products is going to be launched from February 15. The mall will be unofficially opened to the public from February 14.
AF Kashemi Sohail, convener of the exhibition, said that Smart Bangladesh Tech Expo 2024 Rajshahi will be held on the third and fourth floor of 'Swapnachura Plaza'. The exhibition will have 75 stalls and 09 pavilions equipped with latest technology. Attractive gifts and discounts will be available on the purchase of technology products. Lottery will be held on entry tickets to the fair. There will be attractive prizes in the draw. It was also informed in the conference that free internet and Wi-Fi zones will be available for the visitors. Besides, there will be interesting cultural programs every day.
He also said that in this exhibition, the latest and lifestyle-based inventions of information technology will be found through which smart solutions can be found in common life. Apart from this, there will be awareness, entertainment and educational variety of events including 2 seminars and B2B sessions.
'Smart Bangladesh Tech Expo 2024 Rajshahi entry fee is Tk 10. There will be free entry for school students and journalists.
It was informed in the press conference that on February 15 at 4 pm, the Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation AHM Khairuzzaman (Liton) will inaugurate the exhibition as the chief guest. Minister of State for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak, M.P. will attend the event as guest of honour. Sylhet City Corporation Mayor Anwaruzzaman Chowdhury and Rajshahi Deputy Commissioner Shamim Ahmed will be present as special guests. BCS Secretary General Kamruzzaman Bhuiyan, Zhejiang Uniview Technology Company Limited International Business Division Technical Director Arnold Liu, Excel Technologies Limited Managing Director Gautam Saha will attend the event. BCS President Engineer Subrata Sarkar will preside over the inaugural function.
The exhibition will be open for visitors from 11 am to 9 pm.
