Protocol signed between BUET and Istanbul Technical University

A cooperative protocol has been signed between Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology-BUET and Istanbul Technical University-ITU for promoting educational and research cooperation, faculty-student exchange and research publication, partnership in nuclear power and agricultural research. The protocol was signed by BUET Vice-Chancellor Dr. Satya Prasad Majumdar at the initiative of Bangladesh Consulate General in Istanbul and Rector of Istanbul Technical University Prof. Dr. Ismail Koyuncu.

Through the implementation of this cooperative protocol, the relationship between Bangladesh and Turkey will be more integrated and dynamic, including the expansion of cooperation in education and research. Bangladesh Consulate in Istanbul informed the matter on Tuesday, February 27.

The signing ceremony of the cooperative protocol was conducted by Consul General Mohammad Noore-Alam. Pro-Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology Prof. Dr. Abdul Jabbar Khan and Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Satya Prasad Mazumder, Vice Rector of Istanbul Technical University Dr. Sule Itir Satoglu and Rector Prof. Dr. Ismail Koyuncu spoke at the signing ceremony.

Pro-Vice Chancellor of BUET Professor Dr. Abdul Jabbar Khan referred to this collaborative protocol writing moment as a memorable moment and said that through the signing of this collaborative protocol an opportunity has been created to work together through mutual cooperation between the two universities.

Vice Rector Professor Dr. Sule Itir Satoglu mentioned in his speech that the two universities can greatly benefit from the exchange of projects, publications and research results. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Satya Prasad Majumdar mentioned that the two renowned universities have created an opportunity to come closer to each other for the first time through this collaborative protocol. He also mentioned that the two universities can also cooperate with each other in the areas of software technology, research, nuclear power and expansion of agricultural research sectors.

Rector of Istanbul Technical University Dr. Ismail Koyuncu said the university, founded in 1773, celebrated its 250th anniversary last year. He feels that the two universities can jointly carry out various projects and researches, including student-teacher exchange, by referring to the same type of university. Rector Professor Dr. Ismail Koyuncu expressed his hope of starting collaborative activities between the two universities very soon.

Consul General Noore-Alam noted that the two leading universities in the field of engineering and technology are contributing to the infrastructure and technology of their respective countries. The consul general announced the conclusion of the ceremony expressing the faith that the signed protocol of cooperation between these two universities will contribute to deepening and strengthening Bangladesh-Turkey relations.
