Pioneer Pricing: Paikari Offers Products at Cost
E-commerce platform Paikari.com.bd has launched an innovative initiative to sell products at cost, aiming to provide customers with lower prices compared to other online stores. This no-profit program was announced on Sunday at an event in a Dhaka hotel, where the company also introduced a membership program.
Under the membership scheme, individuals can pay a one-time annual fee to access Paikari’s website for purchasing goods at reduced prices. The platform already offers a wide range of products, including winter collections, baby care items, health and beauty essentials, perfumes, makeup, pet food, chocolates, snacks, cooking supplies, beverages, nuts, fruits, electronics, and home cleaning products.
CEO Nabeer Hossain stated that the initiative is exclusively available to members, enabling them to buy products without any profit margin added. Actress Mehazabien Chowdhury, present at the event, remarked, “Online shopping is common, but selling without profit is truly unique.” Actress Tasnia Farin added, “I’ve never heard of a platform offering products at cost—this is a refreshing concept to ease consumer burdens.”
