National University lodged GD against fake notification on social media
The National University administration has lodged a general diary (GD) at Gachha police station in Gazipur against the fake notification titled 'Cyclone suspended due to examination' using the name of National University. At the same time, it has been urged to follow the university's own website www.nu.ac.bd for all information related to the university ignoring these notifications on social media.
The GD lodged on Tuesday, May 28th, it has been reported that, an organized gang of cybercriminals has been spreading misinformation by distorting news releases on social media in a futile attempt to malign the image and reputation of the university, with which the National University has no affiliation.
This information was informed in the press release sent by the Director of the Public Relations department of the university Md. Ataur Rahman. It said that the authorities have taken legal action regarding the publication of fraudulent news circulars about the National University. A General Diary (GD) has been made at Gachha Police Station in Gazipur to take appropriate action in this regard. GD number is 1408.
The notification also said that after being informed about the weather news about Cyclone Remal hitting the coastal areas of the country, considering the safety of the candidates, the National University postponed the Honors fourth year examination on May 26. This notification is published in all media. But an organized circle of cybercriminals has distorted the news release on social media in a futile attempt to tarnish the university's image and reputation. With which the university has no affiliation.

The National University has taken legal action regarding the news release which was found to be fraudulent. Apart from this, the National University has also issued a notice protesting this matter, which has been published in various media.
Mentioning the institution of National University map, the notification also said that 70 percent of the country's higher education students study in National University. Everyone is requested not to do harmful and insulting activities thinking about the education program and future of more than 35 lakh students of the university.
