Khulna Shipyard is constructing the largest landing craft tank
Khulna Shipyard is constructing three Landing Craft Tanks (LCTs) for the Bangladesh Navy. According to the authorities, when completed, these will be the largest LCTs built in the country.
Rear Admiral Mohammad Anwar Hossain, Commander, Khulna Naval Area, inaugurated the Keel Laying of LCT at Khulna Shipyard premises on Wednesday.
He said, 'This is not the first shipbuilding by Khulna Shipyard for Bangladesh Navy. Earlier, the company had successfully constructed and handed over five patrol craft, two large patrol craft, two tugboats and six landing craft utilities for the Bangladesh Navy.
