Philip Song, Chief Marketing Officer of Huawei's Carrier Business Group unveiled a new suite of green development solutions at an ongoing online event titled 'Win-Win Huawei Innovation Week' organized by Huawei. ICT infrastructure is moving from 5G and F5G to 5.5G and F5.5G, green networks. The network is being reviewed against the Network Carbon Intensity (NCIE) index and will be an important part of future target networks. In this case, the solution aims to systematically support operators in improving the energy efficiency of the network, which will contribute to building the operator's green network while simultaneously identifying traffic growth issues and reducing carbon emissions. According to Song, three stages of technological innovation are required. First, moving sites outdoors, increasing equipment energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy. Secondly, ensuring maximum energy efficiency and making the network all-optical, simplified and intelligent. And thirdly, formulating easy acquisition of green O&M and new O&M and energy-saving policies. Apart from Huawei's innovative green development solutions in these three phases; NCIE unveiled the Indicator System, which will support the three phases of Green Sites, Green Networks and Green Operations. At the end of his speech, Song announced the opening of the Evergreen Land Engagement Room. In this room, Huawei will discuss green development and how to build energy-efficient ICT infrastructure with global operators. He said, "Huawei is committed to working with operators to create new value by using green ICT technology to improve the energy efficiency of ICT infrastructure." At the site layer, these solutions will emphasize innovation in three areas. Including: fully outdoor deployment; This solution deals with blade power modules, all in one site that supports 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G. And this solution is capable of 97 percent Site Energy Efficiency (SEE). In addition, these simplified solutions integrate ultra-wide band RF modules and multi-band antennas. Besides, it will ensure maximum efficiency of renewable energy. On the other hand, this solution at the network layer has brought innovation in three areas; namely: 1. Upgrade the entire network from electrical switching to optical switching with all-optical connectivity 2. Solution turns four units of equipment into one unit; and 3. Makes the router's dynamic hibernation intelligent and automatically adjusts network processor frequency based on changes in traffic volume. At the operation level, the solution highlights the user's operations, energy saving policies and energy efficiency indicators.
