Every inch of Bandarban will be included under Internet coverage: Palak

State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak stated that the Honourable Prime Minister has transformed not only villages but also islands, chars, hills and  remote inaccessible hills into cities with modern civic amenities. Mentioning that paved roads, solar power and broadband internet have also reached as remote area as Thanchi now, he said, "Under three projects, we have taken up the project of bringing high speed broadband internet in all 34 unions of Bandarban." I will bring internet through Bangabandhu-1 satellite in the two or three unions where it is difficult to pull cables due to inaccessible communication system. Every inch of land in Bandarban will come under internet coverage. He made the remarks while laying the foundation stone of Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center in Bandarban after sending a message to the Prime Minister on WhatsApp using 4g and high speed broadband internet from Bandarban as well. He said, “The Prime Minister has bridged the gap between Thanchi and Dhaka. So freelancers like Chong Noy are able to create European websites even from Thanchi. They are creating new jobs by becoming entrepreneurs themselves. Palak said that he was overwhelmed to see the development of Hon'ble Prime Minister within  the 24 hours of the tour from Nilachal to Nilgiri, Chimbuk to Bandarban, in every inch of land. He said, “I sent her a 3D model of ICT department's plan for Bandarban University on WhatsApp through broadband internet. Although he sent a message early in the morning on the day of the holiday, she replied positively. She told me in a text message that ‘the design was beautiful. Convey my thanks to the people of Bandarban on my behalf '”. Managing Director of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority Bikarna Kumar Ghosh, Commander of 69 Infantry Brigade of Bangladesh Army Brigadier General Md. Ziaul Haque, Bandarban Deputy Commissioner Yasmin Parveen Tibriz, Superintendent of Police Jerin Akter, Brigadier General Syed Rafiqul Islam, AKM Abdullah Khan, Project Director, IT Training and Incubation Center, Satyahab Panje Tripura, Acting Chairman, Bandarban Hill District Council, and Mohammad Islam Baby, Municipal Mayor. Bir Bahadur U Shoy Sing was present at the event as the chief guest. During the program, laptops were distributed among the 14 freelancer-trainees under the Learning and Earning Development Project implemented by the ICT Department in Bandarban.
