ChatGPT can now read out replies
OpenAI has added a new feature called 'Read Aloud' to ChatGPT to read the answers. When the chatbot is asked something, ChatGPT will read the answer out loud with an artificial voice. Visually impaired people will benefit more from this feature.
Read Aloud will work differently from the voice feature unveiled in September 2023. This new feature will use the multimodal capabilities of AI models. Content such as text, images and voice can be input into the AI model through multimodal capabilities.
ChatGPT's new feature was announced from OpenAI's main account on the X (formerly Twitter) platform. The company says ChatGPT can now read out replies.
The feature can also be used in the web version of ChatGPT along with iOS and Android apps. Read Aloud can also be used in ChatGPT Plus version 4.0 and ChatGPT 3.5 version. To use this feature tap and hold on the chat message and then tap on 'Read Aloud' option.
