Palak hit the boundary of victory

Zunaid Ahmed Palak, the State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and ICT, has again won as the candidate of the ruling party in the 12th parliamentary elections with boat, the polling symbol in the parliamentary constituency 60 Natore-3 Singra. He won the poll by getting about 93 thousand votes more than the independent candidate Shafiqul Islam who appeared with his polling symbol 'Eagle'. And through this, he hit the boundaries of victory four times in a row.

After winning the election, Palak said, I will improve the quality of politics along with good governance and development in Singra as promised. I will establish worker-friendly leadership. From today I do not belong to any party or group. I will try to establish good governance as a representative of 5 lakh people of Singra. Even those who scolded or hurt me, with the love that I bear for all, I will make Singra a smart, aesthetic and humane Singra for everyone.

Earlier on Sunday night, State Minister's Public Relations Officer Shahidul Alam Majumder said that 58% of voters voted in Singra constituency. But as casting, 59 percent people have rendered support in favor of the state minister.

According to sources, 1 lakh 78 thousand 725 voters voted out of 3 lakh 8 thousand 800 voters in total 13 centers. Among them Zunaid Ahmed Palak got 1 lakh 35 thousand 706 votes. Rival candidate Shafiqul Islam got 43 thousand 19 votes with ‘eagle’ symbol. Palak's vote gap from rival is 92 thousand 687.

Earlier, boatman Zunaid Ahmed Palak got 1 lakh 27 thousand 987 votes in the 9th parliamentary election, 80 thousand 688 votes in the 10th parliamentary election and 23 lakh 327 votes in the 11th parliamentary election.
