Online train ticket sales stopped, the Railway website at Bad Gateway

Advance tickets for January 13 have been sold out before the Corona restrictions were issued. However, passengers have not been able to buy train tickets online since Tuesday morning due to software updates following the half-passenger transport instructions.

At the time of writing this report could not be accessed on the Railways website. The website of the Ministry of Railways could be accessed but the e-ticketing gateway e-service could not be accessed from there. However, SMS gateway is active in mobile.

Meanwhile, the Railways said in a statement in the morning that work is underway to update our ticketing software to implement the guidelines for 50 percent passenger transport on trains from January 13. Due to which the sale of advance tickets on January 15 is temporarily closed. If the software is updated, train tickets can be sold online from the afternoon. However, it was not activated till 7 pm.

Advance train tickets are usually sold 5 days in advance. At the time of the earlier ban, the railways had sold half of the 50 percent tickets online and the rest at the ticket counters. However, the rent did not increase.

The government has given 11-point instructions from January 13 to prevent the new variant of Corona Omicron.  of which, half the passengers of total capcity have been instructed to transport. However, at a signing ceremony at the railway building, Railway Minister Nurul Islam Sujan said, "It has not been decided yet when 50 percent passenger transport will start. Tickets for January 13 are already sold out. It will not be possible to carry 50 percent passengers from that day.
