CUET Champions Change Through OBE Training
The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) recently hosted a workshop titled “Outcome-Based Education” (OBE). The session, held on Monday at the university's Academic Council Hall, focused on enhancing teaching methods to align with evolving global educational demands.
Event Highlights
Professor Dr. Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan, the Vice-Chancellor of CUET, presided as the chief guest. The workshop featured Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman Bhuiyan, Director of IQAC, and Dr. Md. Sanaul Rabbi, Additional Director, as resource persons. The program was facilitated by Mr. Md. Imran Hossain, Section Officer of IQAC. Certificates were distributed to participants at the end of the session.
Keynote Address
In his remarks, Dr. Bhuiyan emphasized the importance of adapting curricula to meet the demands of a dynamic world. He stated, “To prepare CUET graduates for the future, we must shift towards a skills-based educational approach that integrates communication, language proficiency, and technology into both curricular and co-curricular activities. This workshop is a step forward in enhancing teaching methodologies and improving the quality of education.”
He also highlighted the importance of continual learning and research among educators to achieve sustained success in the academic field.
The training marks a significant move toward equipping CUET's faculty to implement OBE, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for the challenges of the modern workforce.
