Moving beyond controlled laboratory environments to validate hardware durability and battery endurance under harsh real-world conditions, smartphone manufacturer Realme partnered with the ULAB Adventure Club to conduct an outdoor field test. Deployed across rugged mountain trails in Bandarban over a two-day, two-night expedition, the new Realme C100 operated continuously without charging cables or portable power banks, retaining 40 percent battery capacity upon completing the trek.

According to a press statement released on Friday, 16 October 2026, a five-member expedition team from the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) Adventure Club completed the "Realme C100 – ULAB Adventure Bandarban Challenge" between 27 and 29 September.

The high-altitude trek traced a demanding route originating at Ruma Bazar, navigating through Boga Lake and Darjeeling Para before reaching the summit of Keokradong. While fellow expedition members carried portable power banks to charge their devices, BBA student Rushdi Hasan Rafi relied entirely on the single charge of the Realme C100 throughout the journey.

Across the expedition, the handset was heavily utilized for offline GPS navigation, ambient photography, 4K video recording, and evening camp media playback. At one stage along the slippery mountain terrain, the device suffered an accidental fall into wet mud without sustaining functional or structural degradation.

Reflecting on the field trial, student trekker Rushdi Hasan Rafi noted that battery depletion has historically posed a severe logistical challenge during extended wilderness journeys. He stated that navigating an entire two-day expedition and campsite routine on a single charge—while retaining substantial reserve power—significantly surpassed expectations, official sources confirmed.
