Scientific officer killed for embezzling money and land

According to the RAB, the former chief scientific officer of the Wheat Research Institute in Shyamoli was stabbed to death with the intention of embezzling money and land. The deceased Shahid Anwar (72) lent money to Zakir Hossain on the basis of his long acquaintance. And he was the mastermind of the murder. Asking for the return of that lent money was the reason. Earlier, Zakir Hossain (37) failed to kill him for the first time and succeeded for the second time. RAB-2 has also arrested his collaborator Saiful (26). This information was given by Commander Khandaker Al Moin, Director of Legal and Media Wing of RAB at a press conference held at RAB Media Center in Karwan Bazar area of ​​the capital on Monday (November 15). According to RAB, the accused were arrested in a raid by RAB headquarters intelligence branch and RAB-2 on the basis of intelligence information. During interrogation, the accused admitted involvement in the murder. According to RAB, Anwar joined the Wheat Research Center in 1976 as a scientific officer. He retired from Joydebpur in 2008 as the Chief Scientific Officer in his last post. Throughout his working life he was engaged in research. He was known as a very friendly and kind person in the workplace. Anwar got married in 1983. However, he got divorced from his wife. Later he did not get married. She has no children. His village home is in Domar upazila of Nilphamari district.
