UITS Launches ITEE Training to Boost Global ICT Certification and Career Readiness
An internationally recognized “ITEE (IT Engineers Examination) training” course has been launched at the University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) under the supervision of the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC). The inauguration ceremony was recently held in the university’s conference room, organized by BCC under the ICT Division and jointly managed by UITS’s IQAC (Institutional Quality Assurance Cell) and the CSE Department.
On Wednesday, 1 April, the university stated that the specialized course is being conducted to prepare participants for the internationally recognized ITEE Level-2 (FE) examination, administered by Japan’s Information Technology Promotion Agency (IPA). Through this initiative, 40 selected students of UITS are receiving world-class training completely free of cost, which is expected to provide them with a competitive advantage in international employment.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by UITS Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Abu Hasan Bhuiyan as the chief guest. As a special guest, Engineer Md. Golam Sarowar, Director (BD-ITEC) of BCC, joined virtually. Other speakers included the university’s Treasurer Professor Dr. Siraj Uddin Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering Professor Dr. Engineer Md. Rashidul Hasan, and Registrar Mohammad Kamrul Hasan.
Speakers emphasized the importance of international certification in enhancing professional standards in the ICT sector and urged students to utilize this opportunity to elevate themselves to global standards. The event was also attended by IQAC Director Engineer Md. Safayet Hossain, Head of the CSE Department Al-Imtiaz, and trainer Assistant Professor Annajiat Alim Russell from BRAC University, among others. It is expected that this initiative will play a significant role in advancing Bangladesh’s ICT sector by enhancing students’ academic excellence and professional skills.
