Huawei Bangladesh Celebrates ‘Rigger EHS Family Day 2025’ to Promote Safety Awareness

Huawei Bangladesh has celebrated “Rigger EHS Family Day 2025” to honor rigger workers engaged in improving mobile network quality across the country and to raise awareness about their safety at work.

The event was recently held at Huawei’s South Asia headquarters in Dhaka, bringing together riggers, their family members, and senior representatives of contractor companies involved in mobile infrastructure development, including chief executive officers and general managers.

Huawei Bangladesh shared the information through a press release issued on Tuesday, December 23.

Representing Huawei at the event was Chen Hengzhou, Director of Huawei’s South Asia Delivery Management Department. Speakers included Md. Lutfar Rahman Sajib, Manager of Huawei’s Fieldwork Service Center (FSC), and Parvez Islam, EHS Manager.

The speakers emphasized strict adherence to Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines for mobile tower workers and highlighted the crucial role families play in encouraging riggers to maintain safety compliance. They also stressed the importance of care and mental support for workers engaged in high-risk duties. The program additionally featured various entertainment activities, and Chen Hengzhou spent time interacting with participants.

Addressing the gathering, Chen Hengzhou said, “We do not see riggers merely as employees of partner organizations; we consider them part of the Huawei family. To express our gratitude, we want to create joyful moments for them and their families. This event highlights safety awareness and family-based mental support, reflecting our culture of protection and responsibility.”
