Clarifying a wave of digital misinformation following the execution of two Bangladeshi nationals in Saudi Arabia, official authorities overseeing the Two Holy Mosques have confirmed that a widely circulated video from the Holy Kaaba is completely false and misleading.

Addressing the issue via its official X (formerly Twitter) network on Tuesday (October 20, 2026), the digital news platform 'Inside the Haramain' confirmed that the video showing a man and a woman near the Hajar al-Aswad has zero correlation with the judicial execution.

Earlier on Wednesday (October 14, 2026), Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior executed two Bangladeshi nationals, identified as Nazrul Islam Abdul Basir and Siti Akter, following convictions related to inappropriate acts inside a mosque in Makkah. However, official releases did not specify the exact location or underlying technical details of the offense.

Following the announcement, the video began circulating across algorithms and social media channels, falsely attributing the footage to the condemned individuals. Digital verification and media surveillance protocols deployed by the authorities confirmed the clip was unrelated and misrepresented.

Cybersecurity analysts and digital fact-checkers emphasize the importance of verifying online media and combating automated disinformation cascades regarding sensitive international developments. The Embassy of Bangladesh in Saudi Arabia has not issued an immediate statement regarding the matter. //DBTech/SMMT/SMP/MVNO//
