TSMC Tops Targets with Tremendous Q4 AI Chip Demand
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), the world’s largest contract chipmaker, has recorded significant revenue growth in the fourth quarter of 2025. Compared to the same period last year, the company’s revenue increased by 20.45%, surpassing market expectations, according to Reuters.
The growth is primarily attributed to the rising demand for artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.
Reuters reported that TSMC’s total revenue from October to December reached TWD 1.046 trillion, up from TWD 868.46 billion in the same period last year. Analysts had projected an average of TWD 1.036 trillion.
Major technology companies such as Nvidia and Apple are key clients of TSMC. The surge in AI chip demand has helped the company offset slowdowns in the consumer electronics sector.
TSMC is scheduled to release its full financial report on 15 January, which will provide more detailed guidance on current-year performance and future investment plans.
