BAU Vice-Chancellor Voices for Climate-Smart Cultivation at Global Workshop in South Korea

Professor Dr. A. K. Fazlul Haque Bhuiyan, Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), is participating in an international workshop on the Global Hi-Tech Climate-Smart Agricultural University Network (GHAAN) in South Korea.

Also attending the event are Professor Dr. Md. Shamsul Alam Bhuiyan, BAU’s focal point for the initiative, and Mujibur Rahman, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Education.

The university’s Public Relations and Publication Office confirmed the matter in a press release, stating that the three-day workshop concluded on Saturday, September 27.

According to the release, during the GHAAN roundtable panel discussion, Professor Dr. Bhuiyan highlighted BAU’s candidature for the South Asia Regional Hub, emphasizing the university’s role in advancing high-tech and sustainable agriculture in education and research, as well as promoting climate-resilient farming practices.

It is noteworthy that GHAAN is an educational and research platform in the agricultural sector that focuses on advanced technologies and climate-friendly methods, contributing significantly to the promotion of sustainable agricultural development.
