Foodpanda Fosters Fitness: Free Health Camp for Delivery Partners
In a continued effort to promote health awareness among its delivery partners, Foodpanda Bangladesh recently organized a free health camp at its Khilgaon hub. The online food and grocery delivery platform conducted the camp as part of its broader welfare initiative under the ‘PandaHearts’ program.
The health camp offered a range of basic medical services free of charge, including diabetes screening, blood pressure and pulse checks, body temperature and oxygen saturation monitoring, Body Mass Index (BMI) measurement, Peak Flow testing to assess lung function, and urinalysis. After these examinations, an attending physician provided medical prescriptions based on the individual needs of each delivery partner.
Adding an interactive element to the event, the camp also featured a quiz session for participating riders. Those who answered correctly were rewarded with special gifts.
The initiative was supported by "Amar Doctor", an AI-powered healthcare platform affiliated with MedAI.
As part of this health initiative, Foodpanda, in partnership with MedAI, has introduced four subsidized health packages specifically designed for its delivery partners. These packages provide access to 24/7 health hotlines, video consultations, follow-up services, and AI-driven health data analysis. Subscription fees for these packages range between BDT 35 and BDT 279 depending on duration and services. Subscribers will also receive two free telemedicine consultations during the first month via the "Amar Doctor" app.
Commenting on the initiative, Mukitur Khan, Head of Logistics at Foodpanda, said, “Our delivery partners are the backbone of Foodpanda. Although they work as freelancers, we consider their wellbeing and safety as our responsibility. This health camp is a reflection of that commitment. We are grateful to MedAI for supporting us in this endeavor.”
