BIJF Hosts Iftar Gathering with ICT Industry Leaders
The Bangladesh ICT Journalists Forum (BIJF), the country’s leading association of technology journalists, organized an Iftar gathering on Monday, March 24, at Lakeshore Heights in Gulshan, Dhaka. The event, observed with religious solemnity, was attended by BIJF leaders, members, and key figures from the ICT industry.
During the gathering, prayers were offered for the late BIJF member Masum, as well as for the deceased relatives of members, including the father of Sarabangla’s senior reporter Emdadul Haque Tuhin, Taij Uddin; the wife of DigiBangla Tech Dot News Executive Editor Cynthia Farheen Risha; and the wife of Daily Samakal’s Senior Assistant Editor Hasan Zakir, Momtaz Begum Momo. Special prayers were also held for the recovery of ailing members and for the well-being of the nation.
Following Iftar, industry leaders engaged in discussions on pressing issues within the information and telecommunications sector.

Aminul Haque, Chief Commercial Officer of Shohoz Ltd.; Mostafa Zaman, Founder and CEO of Go Bangla Group; Muzammel Hossain, Manager of Ulkasemi; Fazle Rabbi, Managing Director of Erinafone BD Ltd.; and representatives from Global Brand PLC, Rev Group, the Mobile Phone Owners Association of Bangladesh, OPPO Bangladesh, Realme, and UMIDIGI.
The Iftar event was conducted by BIJF General Secretary Sabbir Hasan, while the discussion session was moderated by BIJF Executive Member Naznin Nahar. BIJF President Hitler A. Halim, Vice President Bhuiyan Inam Lenin, Joint Secretary Enamul Haque, Organizational Secretary Touhidul Islam Tushar, Treasurer Saiful Islam Shanto, Publication and Research Secretary Mahbubur Rahman, and Executive Member Enamul Karim took part in the overall arrangements.
