CEO welcomed the appointment of Administrator in Nagad
Bangladesh Bank has appointed administrators and support officers in Bangladesh Postal Department's digital financial service 'Nagad'. Muhammad Badiuzzaman Didar, working director of Chittagong office of Bangladesh Bank, has been appointed as administrator.
On Wednesday (August 21), the central bank issued a notification in this regard.
Along with this, 6 officers have been appointed to support the overall activities of the administrator. They are Additional Director Md. Habibur Rahman, Joint Director Anwar Ullah, Palash Mandal and Joint Director (ICT) Abu Sadat Mohammad Yasin and Deputy Director (ICT) Chayan Biswas and Md. Ayub Khan
Tanveer A Mishuk, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Nagad, welcomed the decision. He said that the disinformation that was going on related to Nagad, will end with this. We were discussing with Bangladesh Bank about what happened in the last few days. Finally, they took a positive decision like appointing an administrator. We feel this will be a significant step forward in the country's cashless journey.
Tanveer A Mishuk also said that through this decision of Bangladesh Bank, the way a group was involved in the conspiracy with Nagad will be stopped. Nagad believes that it will continue to excel in customer service as it has for the past five years.
