AI Drives Textile Industry Transformation
- AI, automation and smart manufacturing are reshaping Bangladesh’s textile industry.
- ERP and digital supply-chain technologies are being showcased in Purbachal.
- Local technology firms are presenting Industry 4.0 solutions for manufacturers
Bangladesh’s textile and apparel industry is undergoing a technology-driven transformation as artificial intelligence (AI), automation, smart manufacturing and digital supply-chain technologies are increasingly being applied to production and business operations.
The transformation is being showcased at the 25th ‘Textile Series of Exhibitions’ at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center (BCFEC) in Purbachal, Dhaka.
The four-day exhibition, being held from September 2 to 5, features a ‘Digital Transformation Pavilion’ in Hall B, where software, AI and enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions for the textile and apparel sector are being demonstrated.
The pavilion is showcasing technologies covering automation, Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing, ERP systems and digital product development.
Participating technology service providers include SoftifyBD Ltd, Be Data, Proficient Information System, Gateway Software, Tally Solutions, Fleek, Amar Tech and Go Sourcing.
The technologies are focused on making production processes more data-driven, increasing automation and enabling faster decision-making across manufacturing and supply-chain operations. Solutions aimed at improving product quality, production efficiency and time management through AI and automation are also being demonstrated.
The Digital Transformation Pavilion has attracted factory owners, apparel manufacturers, sourcing professionals, textile specialists, IT leaders, merchandisers and designers interested in technology adoption and digital innovation.
Visitors are getting an opportunity to see how AI and automation can be applied to manufacturing operations, quality management and production planning.
Organisers said digital transformation has become increasingly important for Bangladesh’s textile and apparel sector to remain competitive in global markets. Integrated software solutions can help manufacturers connect production, inventory, supply-chain, product-development and business-management processes through data-driven systems.
According to the organisers, locally developed and delivered AI and ERP solutions can contribute to accelerating the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies in Bangladesh’s textile and apparel industry.
The 25th ‘Textile Series of Exhibitions’ is scheduled to conclude on Saturday. Industry professionals have been invited to visit the Digital Transformation Pavilion at Hall B of the BCFEC in Purbachal.
