BUET Brings Backlogged Batches on Revised Calendar

Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) has announced revised academic calendars for undergraduate classes of the 2023–24 and 2024–25 sessions. The notification was issued under the directive of the Vice-Chancellor by Professor N. M. Golam Zakaria, Registrar (Additional Charge).

According to the schedule, course registration for students of the engineering faculties will begin on 29 November. This applies to Level-1/Term-2 and Level-2/Term-1 of the 2024–25 session, as well as Level-2/Term-2, Level-3/Term-2, and Level-4/Term-2 of the 2023–24 session.

Similarly, students of the Faculty of Architecture and Planning for Level-1/Term-2 and Level-2/Term-1 of the 2024–25 session, along with Level-2/Term-2, Level-3/Term-2, Level-4/Term-2, and Level-5/Term-2 of the 2023–24 session, may also begin course registration on the same date. Registration will remain open until 12 December, while late registration with fines will be permitted between 13 and 18 December.

Course adjustment (Add or Drop) has been scheduled from 19 December 2025 to 4 January 2026.

Classes will run from 29 November to 19 December for three weeks, followed by a two-week winter vacation from 20 December to 2 January. Teaching will then resume from 3 January and continue until 13 March, spanning ten weeks. A four-week break for Eid-ul-Fitr and examination preparation will follow from 14 March to 10 April.

Examinations are set to take place from 11 April to 7 May, covering three weeks and six days. The next academic term is expected to commence on 6 June 2026.
