The Science Museum received the award for excellence

Like 2019- 2020 financial year, the Ministry of Science and Technology has awarded the National Museum of Science and Technology for its outstanding performance in the implementation of the Annual Performance Agreement of the Government for 2020-2021 too. The next day, Md. Kamrul Islam, Librarian cum Documentation Officer of the company retired on Thursday (December 30), ending his 32-year career. At the farewell reception this afternoon, Mohammad Munir Chowdhury, Director General of the Science and Technology Museum, called upon all to set an example and maintain excellence by performing their duties with dignity and honesty. Earlier on Wednesday (December 29), Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology Ziaul Hasan presented the Crest and Certificate of Merit to Mohammad Munir Chowdhury, Director General of the National Museum of Science and Technology in the conference room of the Ministry. Incidentally, during the Corona crisis, more than 1600 science lectures, seminars, science Olympiads and quiz competitions were organized uninterruptedly by the Science Museum across the country. In addition, more than 2.8 million visitors participated in the museum program through virtual visits. Apart from this, science education was brought to the forefront by organizing extensive exhibitions of four-D movies and museum buses across the country. Through these programs, millions of students of educational institutions closed in Corona were connected with knowledge of science and technology. The Science Museum is now a uniquely attractive center through extensive modernization, including environmental protection and greening, and environmental development of the gallery. It is to be noted that in the financial year 2019-2020, the National Museum of Science and Technology also received the APA award of the Ministry for its unique general skills. In this regard, Director General of the National Museum of Science and Technology Mohammad Munir Chowdhury said, "Any organization can achieve its goal if it fulfills its responsibilities with honesty, dedication and efficiency."
