State Minister for ICT unveiled the plaque of Joy SET Center at Nandigram in Bogura
The State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak laid the foundation stone of Joy Set Center at Nandigram Upazila Complex building in the district on Saturday morning before the inauguration of Smart Karma Sansthan (employment) Fair in Bogura. While calling for the provision of 5-2 acres of land in this upazila, he highlighted the plan to establish a Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center there.
While speaking as the Chief Guest, the ICT State Minister said that Sheikh Russell Digital Lab will be provided in all schools and colleges in Nandigram, Kahalu. Two more schools of smart future will be established here. Also, within the next six months, all government education-health and administrative institutions will be connected to high-speed internet.
The event was attended by local council member Ragibul Islam, Bogura-6, Bogura District Commissioner Saiful Islam, Upazila Chairman Rezaul Karim Jinnah, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shifa Nusrat, Municipal Mayor Kamrul Hasan Siddiqui Jewel along with various levels of Upazila Awami League officials. Local leaders and activists were also present.
In the event, 15 smart women entrepreneurs were given checks of Tk. 50,000 by the Prime Minister. The state minister announced to give this incentive to 10 more people in the next month.
