Mojang Studios and Merlin Entertainments have announced a collaboration to create Minecraft-themed amusement parks, bringing the game’s iconic world into reality. The series of parks, named Adventures Made Real, will immerse visitors in interactive experiences modeled after the beloved sandbox game, reports Engadget.

Merlin Entertainments plans to establish two permanent Minecraft theme parks in the United States and the United Kingdom, targeting a launch window between 2026 and 2027. These parks will feature interactive attractions, rides, gift shops, and themed restaurants. Future expansions to additional locations worldwide are also under consideration.

The parks will incorporate digital features, although details remain vague. Merlin hinted at unique opportunities for visitors to unlock exclusive in-game content during their park experience.

Merlin Entertainments, the world’s second-largest theme park operator after Disney, is known for managing Legoland parks and attractions such as the UK’s Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, and Chessington World of Adventures, Italy’s Gardaland Resort, and Germany’s Heide Park.

Minecraft’s expansion into real-world experiences reflects its growing cultural influence. In September, Warner Bros. released a teaser for an upcoming Minecraft movie featuring stars Jack Black and Jason Momoa, directed by Jared Hess. The movie is scheduled to premiere on April 5, 2025.

This ambitious project underscores Minecraft’s evolution from a game to a global entertainment phenomenon.
