Google Gears Up for a Crucial 2025: Sundar Pichai
Google CEO Sundar Pichai has stated that 2025 will be a "critical" year for the company, as reported by TechCrunch.
In a strategic meeting held on December 18, Pichai and other executives outlined plans for the upcoming year, according to an audio recording of the event obtained by CNBC. The executives attended the meeting dressed in quirky holiday-themed outfits.
During the meeting, Pichai remarked, “I think 2025 will be extremely important. It’s crucial for us to understand the significance of this moment and to move forward even faster, despite the significant risks involved.”
Currently, Google and other tech companies are making massive investments in AI technology, though the results are often mixed. Pichai acknowledged that Google is somewhat behind in the AI race. He noted that the Gemini app, which is based on the company’s AI model of the same name, has shown strong progress. However, he emphasized that Google still has work to do to fill certain gaps and establish leadership by 2025.
"Expanding the Gemini model at the consumer level will be a key focus for the next year," Pichai added.
