Be determined to achieve your goal: VC, JUST
Prof. Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain, the Vice-Chancellor of Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) while speaking towards the new students said that, be persistent in achieving the goal. If you can't help yourself, you can't help others. Make yourself an enlightened person through hard work.
While speaking as the chief guest at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Academic Building gallery of the JUST on Sunday afternoon, Professor Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain expressed his thoughts towards the students. Before this new students were welcomed with flowers. A colorful procession was taken out on the morning of ‘International Microorganism Day’ by the initiative of the department.
Prof. Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain said, if you want to make yourself prepared, then work hard. No success will come without hard work. Many goals and objectives in life can be achieved by building a good team. Antibiotic research is moving forward in keeping with the world. In keeping with the world, all research of international standards is being completed here. The teachers of this department are working relentlessly in research. You have not made a mistake in choosing this department.
While speaking as the president of the event, Professor Dr. Md. Iqbal Kabir Zahid, Chairman of Microbiology Department said that, 'Microbiological science has many needs in Bangladesh as well as in the whole world, especially during the COVID 19 pandemic, it has been proved. The graduates of JUST are highly valued in the pharmaceutical and food industries of Bangladesh as our curriculum is modern and practical in education. Also, we need to develop ourselves as smart graduates to build a smart Bangladesh. In this era of the fourth industrial revolution, only the fittest will survive. So there is no substitute for skill acquisition.'
Associate professor Dr. Md. Tanvir Islam and Dr. Abhinu Kibria Islam and other teachers greeted and congratulated the freshers and shed light on various contemporary issues including the introduction of the department, teacher-student relationship, and various facilities of the university, academic activities, and co-educational activities.
Lecturers of Microbiology Department Md. Shaminur Rahman, Tanay Chakraborty, Humaira Anzumi, Sumaiya Afnan Jahin, along with a first year student Purnima Khatun and others spoke at the event. The freshman reception was conducted by third year student Nafi Man Rine. An interesting cultural program was held in the evening.
In the morning, a colorful procession was taken out in front of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Academic Building of the University on the occasion of 'International Microorganism Day'. The procession passed in front of the university's central library cum academic building-central mosque and ended in front of the administration building.
