Bangladesh wants to move forward with regional cooperation: State Minister Palak
Highlighting the importance of DPI in Bangladesh's digital economy, Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak called upon various countries and organizations including India to move forward with mutual cooperation in various sectors including railways, education, health, judiciary, agriculture and technology.
He made this call while speaking as a representative of Bangladesh at the round table meeting on "Digital public infrastructure (DPIs) for a vibrant Digital Economy" at the G-20 Forum of Developed and Developing Economies of the World at Hotel Taj West End in Bangalore, India on Friday.
In the meeting, the ICT State Minister of Bangladesh also highlighted the importance of digital public infrastructure for a vibrant digital economy. The round table meeting was attended by Shri Ashwini Vaishnab, Union Minister of Railways, Electronics and Information Technology of India, representatives of various G-20 countries and various international organizations including United Nations, UNDP.
In the meeting, the negotiators of different countries highlighted the importance of DPI in digital economy in detail.
Apart from this, various technology sharing including agriculture, education, health, judiciary, fintech technology, policy, mutual cooperation on cyber security and creation of multilateral and global problem solving platform are discussed through the open platform.
It is worth noting that, the G-20 is the world's main forum of developed and developing economies. The forum, comprising 19 countries and the EU, is a platform for discussion on global issues such as climate change mitigation and sustainable development, in addition to the global economy.
