KIIT honored Dr. Md. Sabur Khan

Dr. Achyuta Samant, visionary founder of Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) India and Member of Indian Lok Sabha presented a distinguished honor to Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, founder and chairman of Daffodil International University (DIU). Dr. Achyuta Samant, presented the award to him.

Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Saranjit Singh and Indian Bollywood actor Sabyasachi Mishra were present at the ceremony while handing over the memento.

Daffodil International University informed on Thursday that the award was officially handed over on January 28 at KIIT premises. The prestigious recognition was conferred on Dr. Sabur Khan during his recent visit to KIIT, marking a significant moment of appreciation for his exemplary leadership in the field of education and commitment to fostering international cooperation. Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Founder and Chairman of Daffodil International University (DIU) expressed his sincere gratitude to Dr. Achyuta Samant, Founder of Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) for giving this special honor, stated in a press release.

As part of the visit, over 6000 female staff members of Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences and Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences participated in Patattan mini-marathon celebrations. This special day, dedicated to joy and celebration, showcases the vibrant energy of the participants. Besides, the founder of KIIT Dr. Achyuta Samant awarded felicitation certificates to 20 students and staff of DIU who participated in the one-week KIIT – DIU Volunteer Exchange Program from January 20-26.

Dr. Khan's recognition is not only a testament to his personal achievements but also reflects the strong relationship between KIIT and DIU. In 2018, KIIT University conferred him an honorary doctorate (D. Lit).
