Huawei Hosts IUT Recruitment to Empower Emerging Engineers

Huawei has organized a campus recruitment program at the Islamic University of Technology (IUT) in Gazipur, Dhaka. More than 100 students from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) participated in the recruitment process through a written examination. The selected candidates will be offered full-time positions as System Engineers at Huawei.

The information was shared in a press release issued by Huawei Bangladesh on Wednesday, 29 October. The program began with a speech by Fara Nawaz, Senior HR Specialist of Huawei South Asia, followed by remarks from Professor Hasan Mahmud of the CSE Department at IUT and Lin Xiao, Director of the Human Resources Department, Huawei South Asia.

Also present at the event were Dr. Md. Hasanul Kabir, Professor and Head of the CSE Department; Md. Tanvir Hossain Saikat, Junior Lecturer of CSE; and Liman Shams, Junior Lecturer of EEE. The written examination was conducted under the supervision of Huawei’s Human Resources Department.

Lin Xiao said, “Our international-standard work environment and experience will help young professionals achieve success in the ICT sector. We believe that the selected candidates will make significant contributions to Huawei Bangladesh’s progress through their skills, innovation, and enthusiasm.”

Dr. Md. Hasanul Kabir stated, “We sincerely thank Huawei for continuously organizing campus recruitment programs at IUT. Over the past years, many of our students have joined Huawei both at home and abroad, and their leadership makes us proud. Huawei is providing an excellent opportunity for new graduates to begin promising careers in the ICT sector.”

Professor Hasan Mahmud added, “IUT has been working with Huawei for more than a decade. As part of this long-term partnership, Huawei’s various talent development initiatives have played a vital role in enhancing our students’ skills. We are delighted to see our graduates joining Huawei Bangladesh. It is not just about getting a job—it is an opportunity to contribute to the nation’s ICT advancement.”

The recruitment process at Huawei began with a written test, followed by interviews and further assessments. Each year, Huawei Bangladesh conducts similar campus recruitment activities at several leading universities across the country to hire new graduates.
