In a move to strengthen telecom connectivity across Bangladesh, leading tower infrastructure company Edotco will provide infrastructural support to both Grameenphone and Teletalk to enhance their nationwide network coverage. A tripartite infrastructure-sharing agreement has been signed between Grameenphone, the country’s largest mobile operator by subscriber base, and state-owned Teletalk, with Edotco facilitating the collaboration.
Grameenphone’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Yasir Azman, Teletalk’s Managing Director Nurul Mabud Chowdhury, and Edotco Bangladesh’s Country Managing Director Sunil Isaac recently signed the agreement. Present at the signing ceremony were Grameenphone’s Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Tanvir Mohammad, Chief Business Officer Dr. Asif Naimur Rashid, Teletalk’s Deputy General Manager (Regulatory and Corporate Relations) S. M. Lutfullahil Majid, and Edotco Bangladesh’s Key Account Manager Kazi Ayon Adnan, along with other senior officials from the three companies.
The information was disclosed in a press release issued on Sunday, 19 October.
Commenting on the partnership, Grameenphone CEO Yasir Azman said, “At Grameenphone, our customers are always at the heart of everything we do. This collaboration stems from that belief—it will help us further strengthen our nationwide network coverage and enhance the quality of services we provide every day. By sharing the same tower infrastructure, we will be able to operate more efficiently, expand our network faster, and offer our customers a stronger, more reliable, and seamless connection.”
Teletalk’s Managing Director Nurul Mabud Chowdhury stated, “As a state-owned operator, our goal is to ensure affordable nationwide service coverage. This collaboration will enhance our capabilities, improve efficiency, and enable us to deliver better quality services to our customers.”
Edotco Bangladesh’s Country Managing Director Sunil Isaac said, “At Edotco, we remain committed to providing scalable and sustainable solutions for mobile operators. This agreement further strengthens our role in building Bangladesh’s telecom ecosystem and provides us with the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to improving nationwide connectivity.”
