Guardian Life Insurance has officially announced a permanent end to all forms of cash transactions with its clients. The company stated that it has now transitioned to a fully cashless system for both premium collection and claim settlements.

In a press release issued on Sunday, 19 October, the insurer declared itself “the country’s first and only completely cashless insurance company.” According to the statement, Guardian Life accepts premium payments exclusively through mobile financial services (MFS) and banking channels. Likewise, claim settlements are processed solely via bank transfers.

The statement further noted, “Through this cashless service, the customer, Guardian Life, and the payment channel—meaning all parties involved in the transaction—can preserve a clear digital record of every transaction. This will help in identifying and verifying financial transactions whenever necessary.”

Guardian Life also asserted that this initiative demonstrates its leadership in innovation within the insurance sector. “With this initiative, Guardian once again proves that it is not only keeping pace with the times but also leading the insurance industry into a new era,” the company said.
