KAZ Software Clinches Gold at Asia Smart Innovation Awards

Bangladeshi software company KAZ Software Limited has won the Gold Medal at this year’s Asia Smart Innovation Awards, held at Tencent WeStart Venue in Hong Kong and organized by the Wireless Technology Industry Association (WTIA). The BASIS-member company earned the distinction in the “Lifestyle and Culture” category, triumphing among 11 participating Bangladeshi software firms.

After the two-day exhibition, the award was handed over to KAZ Software Limited’s CEO, Wahid Aziz Chowdhury. BASIS Administrator Abul Khair Mohammad Hafizullah Khan attended the ceremony as the regional co-organizer.

The event, held from October 15 to 16, brought together prominent figures from Asia’s technology and innovation sectors, alongside leading startups from across the continent. The conference highlighted next-generation digital technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, and AR/VR. Among the nine finalists competing across three categories were companies from Bangladesh, India, Israel, Malaysia, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, and Hong Kong. Notable Bangladeshi finalists included Kornia Soft and IT Solution Ltd, Nodes Digital Ltd, Teton Private Ltd, and Kothay Ltd.

Following the win, KAZ Software Limited’s CEO Wahid Aziz Chowdhury said, “Winning the Gold Award at the Asia Smart Innovation Awards is a proud moment for my company and a significant achievement for Bangladesh’s ICT sector. The support from BASIS Administrator Mr. Abul Khair Muhammad Hafizullah Khan has been truly inspiring and has given us the courage to showcase our talent on an international stage.”

BASIS Administrator Abul Khair Mohammad Hafizullah Khan remarked, “Bangladesh’s participation in the Asia Smart Innovation Awards demonstrates that our country has reached the forefront of Asia’s technology innovation landscape.” He expressed optimism that BASIS-affiliated ICT companies will continue to represent Bangladesh more prominently on global platforms and lead the nation toward a knowledge- and technology-based economy through smart innovations.
