JUST Juniors Join Dialogue for University Advancement
A consultative meeting was held at Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) between Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Majid and class representatives from all departments and years. The session, titled “Role of Students and Teachers in Enhancing Education, Research, and Skills”, provided a platform for students to discuss their perspectives on academic development.
The meeting took place on Tuesday, 14 October, at 4:00 pm in the Professor Mohammad Sharif Hossain Gallery of the National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam Academic Building. It was organized by the Student Counseling and Guidance Department, with JUST Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Majid attending as the chief guest. During the session, students highlighted the role of students and teachers in improving education, research, and skill development, while also raising concerns regarding challenges and obstacles faced by the university.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Md. Abdul Majid stated, “Such consultative meetings are very important to advance our academic position. JUST is progressing as a research-oriented university. By resolving all issues and challenges promptly, we will elevate the university to an exemplary institution of international standards.”
The session was chaired by Director of the Student Counseling and Guidance Department, Dr. Md. Rafiqul Hasan. Contributions were also made by JUST Treasurer Professor Dr. Hossain Al Mamun. Proctor Dr. Md. Omar Faruk, along with faculty members and class representatives from various departments, were present at the meeting.
