Hi-Tech Park Hands Over KUET IT Incubation Center
The Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority has officially transferred the responsibility of operating the IT Training and Incubation Center, situated on the Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) campus, to the KUET authorities.
The handover agreement was signed in the presence of ICT Division Secretary Shish Haydar Chowdhury, with KUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Maksud Helali presiding over the event. On behalf of their respective institutions, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority’s Managing Director A.K.M. Amirul Islam and KUET IICT Director Professor Dr. Ashraful Gani Bhuiyan signed the agreement.
The signing ceremony took place at the university’s conference room on Sunday afternoon, August 17.
Speakers at the program highlighted the importance of the initiative in creating skilled manpower and fostering innovation in the region. Khulna’s Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development and Human Resource Management, Education, and ICT) Nurul Hai Mohammad Anas, along with KUET’s Professor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department Dr. Rafiqul Islam, delivered remarks emphasizing the potential of the center to enhance research, entrepreneurship, and IT-based education.
Officials noted that the IT Training and Incubation Center will serve as a hub for young innovators, providing facilities for training, research, and start-up incubation, thereby contributing to the government’s vision of building a knowledge-based economy.
