Rupali Bank Readies for Relocation: Services to Shut Down for Five Days
All banking operations of Rupali Bank PLC will remain suspended for five days due to the relocation of its data center. The Bangladesh Bank has granted formal approval for this temporary closure.
According to a circular issued on Tuesday, July 1, by the Department of Offsite Supervision (DOS) of Bangladesh Bank, Rupali Bank will suspend all services from July 4 to July 8.
The directive states that the approval has been granted under Section 45 of the Bank Company Act, 1991.
Bangladesh Bank has also sent the relevant instructions to the managing directors and chief executive officers of all scheduled banks operating in the country.
